Why am I running for the Carlsbad City Council?
As a child I dreamed of growing up to become a police officer. I idolized police officers' abilities to resolve life-changing issues. I have completed a very successful and rewarding 29-year career as an officer, fulfilling my dreams.
As an adult, I dream of parlaying my public service and love of our community into becoming a Carlsbad council member. I idolize the members of our council and their abilities to resolve quality-of-life issues. Although I don't always agree with their decisions, I do credit them with Carlsbad's success and stability.
Why should you vote for me?
I have served as a police officer for nearly 30 years, including more than 21 years with the Carlsbad Police Department. I offer a comprehensive and fresh perspective on city issues, which would be unique to the City Council. I am proud of my reputation for having the passion, patience and ability to help members of our community solve problems. I am a fiscal conservative who understands the need for some social programs. I am ethical and honest. My credentials prove that I would be an excellent City Council member.
